Electric Vehicles 101

Electric vehicles are great for the environment and your wallet, and amazing to drive. A guide about owning and driving an electric vehicle (EV) in New Zealand can be found in The New Zealand Electric Car Guide. The NZ government has also put out a guide at EECA. If you are on Facebook there is the NZ EV Owners group, plus Dunedin EV Owners has a Facebook page and monthly email newsletter for local owners and anyone interested in EV topics.

In her day job Pam McKinlay works part-time as an Editorial Assistant, Web Content manager and on the Otago Polytechnic Art Collection at the Dunedin School of Art and Research Office.

In her spare time she is one of the facilitators of the Dunedin EV Owners Group and helps to organise local events to raise the profile of Electric Vehicles in the wider Dunedin area. Dunedin EV Owners also supports national events organised by #LeadingTheCharge, International Drive Electric Week and speaking tours by local and international EV experts.

In her other spare time Pam is involved in various of the North East Valley Project groups and is a maker of things and artworks. She had an EV/air quality inspired artwork selected for the Art and Future: Energy, Climate, Cultures exhibition 2016, and was a contributing artist to the Art and Space Project and Exhibition 2016, at the Otago Museum.

Pam is married to Tom and they have two teenage sons, a terrier and three bantams.
